Pocketbook Verse: Pocketbook's new entry-level e-reader

Pocketbook is renewing its entire e-reader range this year, 2023, and it's the Pocketbook Verse that's being announced today.

With a price tag of $129.99, the Pocketbook Verse becomes the cheapest e-reader in the range, and logically replaces the excellent Pocketbook Touch Lux5.

The Pocketbook Verse retains the strengths of its predecessor. These include a Carta e-ink screen, a 6-inch touch screen with blue light filter (Smartlight system), physical buttons and broad compatibility with the different ebook formats available.

The Pocketbook Verse also adopts the new design introduced with the Pocketbook InkPad 4, and retains physical buttons under the screen to access the main reading functions: accessing menus and turning pages.

The Pocketbook Verse is a light update of the Pocketbook Touch Lux 5, with a new design and a USB-C port, while retaining a contained price and the blue light filter (Smartlight) usually found on more high-end e-readers.

This Pocketbook Verse is therefore aimed at users who want a complete, affordable e-reader to familiarize themselves with digital reading without investing in a more expensive one.
